Man City 1 - 3 Chelsea - Goals from Robinho, Carvalho, Lampard and Anelka.

Stoke City 2 - 3 Everton - Goals from Yakubu, Anichebe and Cahill for Everton and Olofinjana and a Jagielka own goal for Stoke City.

Spurs 1 - 2 Aston Villa - Goals from Reo-Coker and Young for Villa and Bent for Spurs.

Saw the Liverpool, Chelsea and Spurs games.

Liverpool deserved to beat Man Utd who had an off day and they really look void of ideas without Ronaldo, though playing Rooney on the wing wasn’t a good decision, but Liverpool hustled and bustled and if Kuyt could finish the margin would of been more. I thought Mascherano and Carragher were superb and Keane worked his socks off.

Robinho scored on his debut for Man City but it wasn’t enough for a classy Chelsea to win 3-1, Lampard was excellent. Chelsea really look strong again and if they beat United next week I think they already have the EPL wrapped up, yes even at this early stage!

Spurs were woeful against a good Villa side led by the excellent Barry, Spurs created little and Villa should of scored at least one more, another season of woe for Spurs it seems as they sit rock bottom.

Elsewhere an excellent result for Hull at troubled Newcastle which continues Hull City’s fine start and Newcastle’s troubles continue while Arsenal looked classy from the highlights I saw, but still early days of course!
